The Four States Region is located along the Piney Woods ecosystem and boasts 6 state parks including: Millwood State Park, Historic Washington State Park, Beavers Bend State Park, Atlanta State Park, Daingerfield State Park, and Lake Bob Sandlin State Park. Residents can enjoy playing golf and country club access at many of the beautiful courses around the area including: Cedar Creek Golf Course, North Ridge Country Club Golf Course, Mount Pleasant Country Club, and East Ridge Country Club, just to name a few! With an American Association of Independent Professional Baseball Team, the Shreveport Mudbugs, a new Texas Collegiate League Baseball Team coming to Texarkana in 2017, and university athletic teams from Texas A&M University- Texarkana and Louisiana State University Shreveport, there are always plenty of exciting sporting events for community members to attend.
